We are The Stringcredibles, an independent string quartet of CBSO musicians dedicated to supporting the connection between audiences and musicians.

 

We achieve this by:

 

• Enabling children to be active participants in classical music

• Encouraging young performers to communicate better through their music

• Sharing and developing dynamic performance practice among professionals

 

The Stringcredibles combine the musical excellence of the world class City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with a vast pool of experience gained from working with schools and educationalists all over the country. We know that musical excellence is only half the battle. Drawing audiences into a performance is just as important and achieving this is an elusive skill.

 

Through the different strands of our work, we explore and develop ways in which musicians can engage more effectively with their audiences helping to make every performance meaningful and inspiring every audience member - both young and old - to come back for more.
