WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND SCHOOLS
We believe that all children should have the opportunity to experience classical music which is played to an excellent standard and communicated to them in an excellent way.
A Stringcredible performance uses traditional string quartet repertoire as well as special arrangements, stories, projected visuals, and lots of interactive activities, to give our shows a multidimensional quality that accelerates learning.
We currently have two performances that we are taking into primary schools: ‘Making Music’ and ‘Tunes from the Trenches’.
Making Music
Our performance called 'Making Music' is suitable for Early Years, KS1 & KS2. It explains how making music is just like making a cake - you just need ingredients and a recipe and away you go!
This performance is a great way to meet The Stringcredibles, and to get to know some curriculum musical words!

Tunes from the Trenches
‘Tunes from the Trenches’ was commissioned to mark the WW1 centenary in 2014 and will be performed until 2018.
It takes KS2 children on a fast-paced historical journey from 1914 to 1918 and features visuals from the Imperial War Museum and excerpts from the acclaimed children’s books, ‘Archie’s War’ by Marcia Williams and ‘War Horse’ by Michael Morpurgo.
You can see a video about this show in the box opposite.
